There are over 500,000 words defined in the computer version of the OED
The OED is a very difficult dictionary to use. I paid Oxford over $400.00 for this program and every time I need to look-up a word I am asked for an old disk. The amount of time to use this dictionary is far in excess of the value of the information delivered.
Now I have four disks. The two original disks and two for an upgrade. My computer crashed and I had to reload the OED from the original disks. It did not work. The program did not load. For four hundred dollars for a dictionary one should get a more user friendly and helpful product than the OED.
If one has the patience to spend more time using the OED than to write this review then this product may be useful. However, the program requires the user to go back and re-enter an old disk to prove that the program is a legally purchased one. This is just a TOROFECAL PROCESS.
