Good Points

Great beach
Excellent facilities on site

Bad Points

Nothing much - villas could do with a bit of updating to make more luxurious perhaps - but perfectly acceptable - always pay extra for air conditioned villa as you'll need it.


General Comments

Jolly Harbour Villas - This resort is a great choice for those with children who want the benefit of self-catering or the freedom to eat out. It is a large, well-maintained, spacious resort, with villas set out along 2 "fingers" - those on the North finger are nearest to the Kids Club, but furthest out from the resort centre. The South finger is perhaps a better choice for those with school age children and is nearest to the best beach which is shared with the neighbouring Jolly Beach Resort. The villas themselves sleep up to 5 in 2 bedrooms and have a well-equipped kitchen area, lounge backing onto a verandah with Marina views, satellite TV and DVD player. You can hire golf buggies or there are courtesy buses that run around the complex for those that don't like walking. The resort centre has everything you can think of: casino with nightclub, swimming pools, tennis courts, shops, fantastic, well-stocked supermarket, bars, restaurants, bank, travel agency, chemist, rental shop (where you can hire DVDs) and even an internet cafe. From here you can go on loads of excursions including the helicopter flight over Montserrat's volcano, island boat trips, and there is a taxi stand and bus stop so getting to St Johns or to other parts of the island is easy.
