Good Points

Very Good Value For money.
Somewhat quite powerful.
More powerful than what some magazines say, 385fps instead of 430fps

Bad Points

You have so much fun with it then the co2 runs out!
Had a bit of trouble inserting cartridges, quite stiff.

General Comments

The Crosman 1008B is my first CO2 Pistol and I took it out today and I am not dissapointed. With the first cartridge I got 83 shots, 40 were full power but the rest started to drop after a while. With the second cartridge I got 96! I dont know why.

Anyway I got it for £52 including 5 crosman co2 powerlets and 500 RWS flatheads which seems to be very unpopular with bean cans. This is the remanufactured model, its ABS but it doesn't bring its performance down in anyway. Do eagle powerlets have lubricant in them like crosman? As my nearest shop sells 15 for £7:99 (pretty cheap)
The reviews I have read make me wonder if they are better, and what happens when seals go on air pistols? As I am quite new to C02.

Thanks for reading my review and I hope I have encouraged some people to buy one. BomBom.

I too use a Brass Eagle co2 because I can get it a lot cheaper than the Crosman stuff. But I don’t think that it has any oil though. There is no difference in power either

Now no CO2 gun will last forever, and at some point you’d have to get new seals, but a gun at that price might not even be worth it; since you might just want to get something new. But it should last long enough say 5000 shots or more. Just remember to take the CO2 out when you’re done shooting, that should help it to last longer. Also you can use a crosman PalgunOil for the seals.

it says in the instructors manual to add a drip of oil on the top of the cartridge (not petroleum based) would that maximise the life time of the gun???? the oil i got is webley oil in a little bottle rather thick

hard to say, I use Crosman Pellgunoil, it was made for CO2 gun so it works pretty good.

Well I discharge all the Co2 every time I shoot, so there is no C02 cartridge in it when I leave it for a good few days or so.
