1) Extremely well illuminated and legible keypad in any light conditions 2) Similarly legible screen display 3) Huge capacity for single-shot large text messages.
No distribution lists for text messages.
Although the Nokia 3510i lacks many of the more sophisticated features of later phones, in terms of its ergonomics, this is the best I have ever used (and I have used many). The keys are nicely spaced and also extremely well illuminated when pressed without any noticeable compromise to battery life. In fact the keys are clearly visible in any light from bright sunlight to pitch dark which makes for very fast texting, a process which many newer phones manage to make extremely difficult, particularly in semi-light conditions.
The screen font size is also nice and big which makes it very legible.
One seemingly little-known feature of this phone is its huge text capacity for SMS messages - I have started many a letter on this phone where even handheld computers would be a burden.
If Nokia were to combine the same ergonomics into a more modern design (and perhaps smooth the keys off a little), they would have a winner.
