Powerfull! Accurate, fabulous trigger, good looks.
A very sturdy scope must be used or this rifle will tear it up. Bushnell Trophy series scopes reccommended minimum.
Care must be taken when loading the Beeman R9 rifle so as not to allow the barrel to snap closed. A cracked stock or bent barrel could be the result and is NOT covered by warranty. A long day of cocking and shooting the R9 will cause fatigue. Excellent small game hunting rifle. Head shots on tree squirrels is routine at 20 meters. The fit and finish of the stock is good. The blueing is very good. Standard adjustable open sights are more than adequate, however receiver peep sights or a high quality airgun scope are required to take full advantage of the outstanding long range accuracy and flat trajectory of the .177 caliber R9. If you are partial to spring piston airguns and can only afford two, I would get the R9 and R7 both in .177 caliber. You won't be disappointed.
