Low balance transfer rate.
Incompetent customer service.
Customer service not UK based.
Charges made for trying to take money from a cancelled DD.
The most awful and incompetent service I have ever received. Set up a DD which was not used so they charged for a missed payment. Cancelled DD and paid two months payments, they tried to take from the cancelled DD and charged me again for the failed payment even though I had paid seperately. Spoke to an idiot based abroad who had no idea what we were discussing (do they just use scripts). My honest advice is never use Amex, use First Direct who may charge a bit more but have a fantastic UK based customer service section.
