The film has a good plot with added suspense along the way.
The fact that the actors aren't widely well-known doesn't take the viewer away from the story.
The film uses an original and imaginitive plot which has a series of twists.
The film doesn't involve a lot of horror movie cliches.
The backbone of the film is its violence and imaginitive plot. I believe if the violence was sparse and there were horror movie cliches it would let the film down.
The only bad point which you could say is good is the actual horror of the film as it contains a vast amount of violence and psychological suspense and thrills.
Saw (18) - I believe, all in all, that it is a good film, well worth seeing and because the plot is original and imaginative it makes the film stand out in a category of its own, unlike many horror films which are around today.
Keep an eye out for the twist, you will be kicking yourself when it is revealed.
