Good Points
Few and far between
Bad Points
The whole Encore album
General Comments
Eminem, Encore - The man who can do no wrong?!?! What an extremely poor album full of proccessed beats and follow-the-herd political beliefs. Very disappointing. It is a very lazy album.
I have found a pattern with Eminem albums, as the series go on they get poorer and poorer and the people who now buy his records (which I won't be doing again) seem to be the very people he mocks other artists for being followed by. Midlle class white teenagers. How ironic can it get?
From an artist who promised so much he has delivered so little. Not only that, he seems to have flooded the market with mediocre, banal, wannabe Eminems. 50 Cent for instance!?!?!? How on earth did that happen? He is like a nail bomb, on his own he was bad enough but when he blew up all his poisonous little shards have come out too.
I never ever thought I would say this but Justin Timberlake, et. al., are more relevant in the music scene today than Eminem is.
Come on Marshall, let's have you back to your thorn-in-a-side best and go back to making good albums for your fans who can actually think on their own.

I can't hate on this review. I don't entirely agree with it (as my review shows) but your arguments are well made. There is some argument to the album being lazy, but I think it is intentionally so. There is no way someone with such made talent as Em would put out tracks like Big Weenie without consciously knowing he'd get flack. I think he is saying: "I've taken this whole Eminem thing as far as it can go - look how boring and repetitive it is getting - I'm gonna try new things (like Ass Like That and Crazy in Love and Rain Man) so prepare for me to be different next album.
