General Comments

Nothing spectacular about this Sunbird cruise but it was an above average holiday. It was a bargain price and had great entertainment, sights, tours and food. The only problem was a few of the staff. Usually the waiters were young, male, foreign - Filipino, Malaysian, etc - and some were very flirty and over-familiar with single women. But that wasn't too bad if you can learn to ignore them. It was the young English male entertainment staff that were worst. They acted like louts towards any young, single female that went pass. If the girls were pretty, they were full of sexual innuendos and gestures as though they were working at an 18-30s resort; if the girls were plain (like me) they would take the mickey out of their clothes/hair/make-up loudly or butt in on private conversations to correct/criticize them.
But all of this didn't affect my enjoyment of the holiday. But that's because I get more annoyed with grumpy staff than with cheeky staff and no staff were grumpy towards me.
Oh, another slight annoyance was the pool was never filled with water! Not that it bothered me too much as I wasn't planning on going swimming on this holiday and never even packed a swimming costume. But photos taken by the pool looked pretty pathetic.
Everything else on the cruise was above satisfactory and really great value. I'd recommend it, and - if the cruises weren't being terminated this year - I'd go again.
