Good Points

If you've had any military training you'll love the precise detail. If not you'll love the human side of work that is war. If you don't think the UK Special Forces aren't the best then this could change your mind.

Bad Points

I've read it so many times and can't find any. But not for the faint-hearted.

General Comments

Andy McNab, Bravo Two Zero: The story starts with the build-up to the mission and the frustration that goes with that. The mission itself is straightforward in Special Forces terms - don't get spotted. I felt that I was with the author every step of the way on the mission, and felt responsible for the patrol's welfare. A book that has been maligned by many as being too 'Hollywood' for what actually happened is still a story of triumph over impossible odds and, whether you believe it or not, still stirs that natural reaction in all of us of fight or flight. Guess which one the SAS choose?
