Suggested action to take if unhappy

General Comments

Could I suggest that people who are unhappy with the poor customer service and feel they are not being provided with the service they signed up just CANCEL THEIR DIRECT DEBITS. Then, when Tiscali try to chase up the money to fulfil the 12mth contract, you might get somebody British. Then you can tell them what you think of their service and, if need be, threaten to take them to the OFT.

This is supposed to be a high-speed broadband service, but only ever reaches anywhere near the quoted speed on very rare occasions. Added to that, the connection regularly drops and I have been unable to get it to stay connected or else redial spontaneously on disconnection, despite guidance from the "Technical Support" team (few of whom seemed to speak good enough English for me to follow their instructions). I will not be honouring my Contract, as Tiscali have not provided the service I signed up for!

Agreed... never give them any credit card details, always pay by direct debit... then you can cancel.... only did I escape by emailing the CEO Mary Turner!!! also Jody Haskayne the PR person apparently is helpful...

I did also get another person who actually exists, even a mobile number but due to legal reasons I cannot divulge these details.

usually an email to Mary Turner or Jody Haskayne will sort the problem, also register the problem with Otelo, watchdog, and also with www.ispreview.co.uk and www.adslguide.org.uk

make sure you contact Otelo before you contact any of the above though, so that you get an active case registered with Otelo.
