Excellent quality, reasonably light, accurate, feel good factor.

I have owned the Air Arms S400 Classic .22 Air Rifle for approximately 3 weeks and in that short space of time have found it to be every bit as good as reviewers and testers alike make out, with the AA silencer fitted and 3-9 x 40 sights it feels well balanced. Accuracey is as good as it gets, 20mm groups at 30 yards... I am still learning!, and the stated number of shots per fill by the manufacturer seems about right, if a little conservative! I looked and handled half a dozen similar guns and was very close to purchasing the BSA Hornet, some bad reviews and remarks from a gun club tutor swayed me toward the Air Arms and I have absolutely no reason to be other than very pleased indeed with it. The fit and finish also warrants a mention as it cannot be faulted in any way. To sum up then, a real pleasure to shoot and own, up till now anyway, quiet, accurate, well finished and very pick upable! Must arguably be one of the best, if not the best £300ish gun on the market.
