Bad Points
Maybe not suitable for people looking to party as alcohol can be expensive and night clubs would not be as lively as here, also as its a muslim country same sex couples would be frowned upon.

General Comments
Golf Residence Hotel is a beautiful hotel situated in a beautiful country. I have been to Port el Kantaoui on numerous occasions usually staying in the Sol el Mouradi another spectacular hotel. The Golf Residence is an approx 2 min walk to the marina where there is a selection of cafe's, restaurants and shops some on the sea front. Night clubs are a part of every hotel, although would not be as lively as some in Ireland. For larger night clubs you would need to travel to Sousse about 6 dinar in a taxi. Scuba diving is also available in the port as are boat trips either going out for the day or for a couple of hours. For bargain shopping the markets in Sousse are great (always haggle) you can get there by taxi or the noddy train as an added treat especially for children. The tuk tuk is also another fun way of getting around. Day entertainment is also available at the hotel as is evening shows. I would recommend the area to everyone except big club goers; it is a truly beautiful place. Enjoy your time there.
