General Comments

Just returned from Hotel Club Akti, June 2005. Travelled with wife and two 14 year olds. We've been on several AI holidays and this was the most disappointing.
Food was good, but often the restaurant ran out of certain things, or there were delays in keeping it stocked up. Then when what you were waiting for arrived, the other food may have all gone, or it was cold on your plate. You expect this to happen occasionally, but it was a daily occurrence at the Akti.
Under 18s were not allowed to play things like pool or table tennis unless an adult was with them. Under 18s were not allowed to go out on a pedalo or kayak unless an adult was with them.
The hotel had 4 tennis courts, but appeared to have only 4 tennis racquets, and 2 of the most threadbare tennis balls for guests to use.
The courtesy bus was a very good service, but it only held about 20 people and the last trip back from Kardemena, at 11.30pm, there were usually people standing and on one occasion people had to be left to get a taxi.
It is too far to walk to Kardamena and there is very little to do near the hotel (although I recommend the go kart track which is only a 5 minute walk away).
The hotel is right on the beach and the sea is great, but its very difficult getting in and out due to the loose shingle and the large slippery rocks.
For sporting events on Sky, there is a bar on the beachside road (heading away from Kardemena) which is about a 5 minute walk and the beer is served in chilled glasses!
