General Comments

I just got one of these DXG 305V's to play around with and think that the other review is silly. This is not a $600 unit, and that needs to be understood when spending $100-$130 for it. I have installed the video software with no issue whatsoever. I have alot of computer knowledge... and never ran into any weird issue with the installation or use. The only thing I did have to do is update my Media Player codecs which I should have done months ago anyway (took me 3 minutes). DO NOT GET ME WRONG this is not a $600 camera, but for the cost the rating should be +20! This thing takes nice photos outdoors or with good lighting like ALL digital cameras. I have a $600 digital Nikon and the picture quality in low lighting with my Nikon is terrible also. PLUS you get a USB storage device, GREAT BATTERY LIFE for how much I have used it during the past week, and I have used and played with ALL the features many, many times. I still have 60% left! Oh ya, an MP3 player, voice recorder, webcam... oh ya, a video recorder too- oh it also will bus video and audio straight to a TV! The video recorder is not the greatest... but once you compress a video down to be emailed to someone, the quality is the same as most $400+ units. This other guy has obviously not had the experience to make an educated review of this unit. ALMOST ALL CAMERAS COME WITH LITTLE OR NO MEMORY, and my Nikon can only take 6 pictures before the $60 battery is dead! Give me a break, I have shot 50 or 60 shots AND movies, and listened to MP3s, used the voice recorder, and webcam... AND downloaded everything 6 or 7 times into my laptop... I STILL HAVE BATTERY LIFE LEFT! Heck, you do not even get batteries, memory, cases, software or anything with many of the cameras I have owned. This is the best TOY ever made! Just keep in mind that it IS only a toy, but a good toy. When the features are compared with the cost, this camera is a 10! If it cost $300 then it would get a 4 or 5. Don't believe people that have nothing good to say about this. It is great for emailing pictures and video in good lighting... not for professional printing. DXG - you get a 10 from me for making a killer toy!

I am happy I visited the comments on this page, because I just bought this lovely toy, and so far I am absolutely loving it, but I didn't get the quality picture from it, but now I know it just has to be better lighting.. the mp3 sounds great, much better than my previous AIPTEK DV 4500, which cost the same.. for the little time I have used this camera, I have to give it a 8+.. but I am sure with more usage, It will hit a homerun.
