Good Points
A well thought out and well specified car with a good selection of options available.

Bad Points
Could do with a bit more in-car storage space (door pockets etc)and as visibility to front rear is poor (low down) I think parking sensors should be fitted as standard and PLEASE
Mr. Volvo, what about a speed limiter device?

General Comments
Volvo S60 D5 SE:

Having been in the motor trade for too many years to remember as a main dealer and retailer of used cars as well, I have personally owned and ran literally scores of cars of all sorts. More recently my wife and I have both ran Mercedes but, compared to the earlier models, these now seem to me to be not so good value for money and leave much to be desired in the reliability and quality control departments !!

I have recently decided that enough is enough and returned to my old favourite, Volvo, and bought an C60 SE 5 cylinder diesel. What a cracking car this is compared to my Mercedes C250 Turbodiesel. Lets hope time will prove me right.

Thanks for your understanding and your reply. I only mentioned about the speed limiter as I also have a Merc C250 Turbodiesel which HAS an adjustable speed limiter fitted and believe me, it has saved me loads of dosh by preventing that "up creep" of speed which we all suffer from in cars that cruise easily at speed. Anyway, nice to be friends again !. My back was got up a bit too as I get sick of people constantly critisizing Volvo drivers - as a biker, I'm sure you know what I mean !.

Everyone to their own opinion then. 'Nuff said. It's a good job we can have a bit of banter, in the olden days it would have been swords at dawn! You can't be all that bad if you're a 'biker - me too, so safe riding and keep alive. (PS. Rolex ? - COME ON.......Showy OR WHAT.........!)

you sound like you have a mixture of paranoia and OCD. you are probably also a liar, and in a funny kind of way i feel a bit sorry for you. the need to list all your achievements and qualifications is a sign of underlying insecurity. my comments were only little 'funnies' which you took out of all proportion. if anyone needs to get a life it is you sir.

Long winter evenings?, - yeah, they really do fly by, you got a problem with that ? As the holder of HGV Class 1, PSV, Full International Car and Motorcycle Race licences and having sometime ago succesfully passed the Advanced Driving Test I really do feel kind of qualified to comment as I have done. What do you need the extra BHP for, to impress your mates? I bet you've got a big noisy exhaust too and drive with your fog lights on and stereo at full blast. Is it your mam's car?. Get a life sonny.

Sounds kinda' sarcastic that comment re: Speed Limiter. Might I suggest that you wise up. Most normal people would accept that a speed 'LIMITER' usually "LIMITS" speed or, put even more simply, prevents a certain speed being exceeded. Thats what it is. If you are still not too sure, check out Mercedes who have fitted them (and perhaps still do) to many vehicles in their range. They are VERY useful when you have a vehicle which cruises very easily at speed as they can be set to virtually any speed and regardless of what you do, you WILL NOT EXCEED that set speed.

Regarding the innane comment on "Speed Limiter", perhaps you would like to be better informed and educated with the knowledge that a Speed Limiter (as fitted to Mercedes etc) can be manually set, usually in 5mph increments, to LIMIT the MAXIMUM speed at which the vehicle will travel, NOT set the MINIMUM speed. You might do your homework in future !
