Good Points

It takes very large images, which can be good. The display quality is very good, and there is a large number of functions. The Optical zoom is a particularly good feature.


Bad Points

The videos are in QuickTime (.mov) format, which means they cannot be used with Windows Media Player or Windows Movie Maker. It also broke (see below).


General Comments

The Kodak EasyShare CX7430 is quite a good camera overall, unfortunately the battery flap broke. Kodak said they would come and get it, but they didn't for ages. We rang up and they said they would send us a parcel to put it in and send off, but that never arrived. Eventually a courier came and collected it. It didn't cost anything as it was under warranty but it was very inconvenient.

Overall, it is a good camera, but the customer service is poor. The batteries don't last long so if you do buy one buy a UNiROSS Ni-Mh battery charger and 4 AA batteries so you can charge two while using the others. Also get a 256MB memory card.
