The price seems good - but what use is that when the car doesn't exist?

Customer service is absolutely appalling. Promised delivery date sails past without a mention. They take your money and leave you hanging...


General Comments

I ordered a VW Touran in February and was pleased with the pleasant customer service and the promised price. Then the nightmare began. I received one phone call from the virgin cars customer service people telling me of an expected delivery date - this was the first and last tine they ever called me. The delivery date sailed past and they had no news. The car was apparently subjected to 'a delay' and I have been left high and dry. Now I phone every day not to get my car but to get news of when I might expect to hear about when they might get some news about the car. They cannot tell me if it is one week or one year away. What use is a cheap price if the car does not exist? What use is it to have a customer service department if they tell you absolutely nothing every time you call? What use is it to have a brand like virgin if they sell you only false promises? And to rub salt in the wound, they tell me that if I cancel my order I will have to pay a £69 fee. For what?

    PS. Virgin have finally called me a second time - to say that they cannot sell me a car after all as they have been 'let down by a supplier'. So I have wasted 3 months when I could have had a new car. I am considering going to the small claims court for expenses incurred.
