Citroen C5 Estate is a spacious and comfortable car. Good and posh looks, good body work. Quiet for a diesel car. Second to none gear shift. HDI is Economical for big size estate.
Light bulbs blow too often and they are difficult and awkward to replace.
I have owned the Citroen C5 2.0 SX 16V for 4 months only and I had to replace the headlight bulbs for 3 times. I couldn't replace them myself because it is too difficult and awkward to replace the bulbs in a C5. I had to take the car to a garage 3 times and pay for such a simple task. My C5 is only 3 year old and had only 34000 miles in the clock when I bought it 4 months ago. The mileage now is only 39000 miles. How can a car of this age and mileage visit the car mechanic so often?.
I am a big fan of Citroen cars. The C5 is my 3rd Citroen car. I honestly believed that Citroen cars are value for money until buying the C5.
The best Citroen car of the 3 I bought is the Zx Temptation. For 3 years and a half it only needed basic maintenance. No problem at all, I travelled with it from Swindon to Paris. I had to fill the tank only once not far from the outskirts of Paris. The ZX runs and runs and it gives the impression that it can never breakdown.
The light bulbs are a child play to replace in a Zx. It can be done in 5 min.
