Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Review

It was a lively colourful show, with some excellent sets, some good singers and actors and much good dancing and choreography.

The singing and acting was a little patchy I thought. Having seen a good stage show of Joseph before, the interpretation and production of this one fell below my expectations at several points and I thought there was a lot of stereotyping and some tinkering to no good effect.

I think if you have never seen Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat before you would enjoy it - the magnificent songs and lyrics of "Joseph" are hard to spoil.

On the other hand this is not the best production I have seen and when the producer changed things to make a point I usually disagreeed with the point.

Having seen it done well, this was a little disappointing.
