General Comments

Arrived quite late for a two night break AT City Hotel, and the staff were very busy as it was the Jazz festival. We were able to get a lovely romantic candle lit dinner overlooking the river. Room was very nice, although it would have been nice if the staff had offered us an upgrade as we would have liked a view. Next time we go back we will ask for a room overlooking the lovely Foyle. First time in Londonderry, and it was a great weekend, we did the open top bus tour and it filled us in with all the bits of recent history, let's hope it stays safe, and more people will visit this lovely City. When I was waiting for my husband to get the car before we left, I saw something shining outside the hotel, I was amazed to see the plaque in memory of Josef Locke (Hear my Song)he was born in Londonderry and was most famous for escaping the tax man see the monument and the City Hotel in the background.
