Good Points

A Gun for life, this gun is built like a sherman tank, wood to metal finish second to none, metal to metal the same, even the case solid travel case it comes in being built with precision, it oozes quality, it feels quality like shutting the door on a BMW or Merc a solid thud, and the service offered by Alan Rhone & Erwin again super efficient, friendly & collection made easy.

Bad Points

Being built like a tank means it weighs the same about 91/4Lb, even the travel case, I suppose when one pays that sort of money you would also expect it to eject any type of cartridge case? not so?

General Comments

All in all the Krieghoff K80 Sporter Shotgun is a solid well built gun, the downside being you can't have one without the other, I know some good shooters have put these guns to good use in sporting, I personally feel they are more at home with DTL or Skeet, getting that weight moving is one thing, stopping it another, the type of clays being thrown in sporting these days requires a responsive gun, and responsive it is not! Although felt recoil is quite low with all this weight and I know 1Lb above the average doesn't sound a lot but try swinging it around a sporting layout for 3-4 hours! I purchased this gun telling my wife it was the last gun I would buy, a gun for life I thought, but the failure to eject cartridges just got the better of me, even though the main agent was willing to send it back for the barrel recievers to be chromed[latest models have this done as standard, the new "supersport" does go some way to help with the weight problem and is chromed, this would be my choice if I was to purchase another. Then again I could purchase 4 Miroku MK38s grade 5 at that and still have change for what the Krieghoff cost and it did not break any more clays and that is what I brought it to do, although it's nice to be seen on the shoot with one, is it what you brought it for?
