Excellent value for money. Has lots of I/O ports - 4 USB, firewire, SVHS, external monitor, printer, network, modem etc. Good battery life, best usage I've had is just over 2.5 hours (reduces to under 2 hours if using DVD drive to watch a movie). Nice bright screen - no dead pixels.
A bit big and heavy but I do take it on the road with me. In built speakers not very loud.
This Acer Aspire 1362LC laptop does everything I need. I mainly use when I'm working away from home to type up minutes of meeting and store technical info. I have about 50 CD's stored in MP3 format and the inbuilt speakers are fine for listening to a bit of background music while you're working in a quiet hotel room but not loud enough when watching a DVD. I have also installed Nero 6 and saved about a dozen movies to the hard drive using Nero Digital. Playback from the hard-drive allows you to watch over 2.5 hours of films on battery power which reduces to under 2 hours if using the DVD drive. Have bought some small battery powered active speakers that work fine though - or you can listen through headphones.
All in all, excellent value for money and very pleased with this purchase.
