General Comments
The Victoria Hotel is the most fascinating and memorable hotel I have stayed in Egypt, it has plenty of character. The design and furniture is old fashioned and the winding mazes of corridors upstairs make it unique. The doorman is about 95 years old and dresses in an old porter's uniform. It is like stepping back in time. It has the usual facilities (bar, restaurant, 24 hr reception) and hairdressers. Good value for money,
it is one of the cheaper 3 stars in Cairo.
The mosque is located close by. It quite loud and woke us up on a few occasions early in the morning.
