Robust engine, sporty trim, handling, good spec, mpg, quite nippy. Cheap to run.
Tinny feel to body work. Loud engine. Rear brakes always fail on MOT. Poor trim quality.
Overall the Peugeot 306 D Turbo is a great diesel car, sporty looks with excellent mpg. I have owned my car for 5 years, bought it with 50k on the clock, it now has done well over 160k, still running with original clutch. Only work carried out to the engine has been to the head. Apart from that it has been serviced every 6k. These cars will run forever as long as you service regularly. Suspension bushes wear out quick. Then again I do drive my car hard. Solid diesel engines that will run upto 200k with no major rebuild unlike the Hdi engines (lucky to do 100k without problems) Cheap to insure, insurance gp 5.
