Good Points

Excellent friendly Staff, Very Clean rooms, beach only a stone throw away! Entertainment fantastic.


Bad Points

Too many kids!!!! Disco closes at 2am (what happened to partying all night)


General Comments

Grand and Club Marival is a fantastic place! The beach is beautiful, the hotel grounds are stunning and the staff are very friendly. Entertainment throughout the day is great except it seems to shut down between 12 and 3 (bit of an early siesta???) The beer drinking competition is great...!!
If you don't like Kids, don't go here during the Mexican school holidays - Kids swarm like bees throughout the hotel! The quiet pool is located next to the main activities pool - bit of a contradiction I think... Still overall a fantastic place. I have been 5 times and will be working there in the entertainments team next year!! Blonde girls beware - You will get approached to work there in the animation team if you're friendly!

Get the bus from outside velas hotel it's so much cheaper than a taxi and really is an experience!
If you do get a taxi make sure you agree a price before you get in the taxi and only use yellow taxis around PV Centro
Oh - Last point, food gets incredibly boring after you have sampled all 7 restaurants in the first week. drinks are great. make friends wit Rodolfo and he will hook you up with some stronger drinks!
