I bought an LG DVD5353 (very similar to the DVD5253). The price/quality ratio is EXCELLENT. It's user friendly, the picture quality is really good... no comments whatshowever; this is exactly what I wanted for the price. And I got 3 free DVD titles with it also !

out of about 30 datawrite 2x classics i have burned at 2x about 7 have played flawless on my standalone dvd player which is a lg 5253 and about 25 have played flawless on my ps2 v7, so 5 coasters...
