New stylish health spa resort close to the ski slopes of the high tatras. Slovakia is beautiful and very affordable.
Bad Points
Not enough direct flights to Poprad but we were told they will be adding them this summer - 2005
General Comments
AquaCity is lovely resort. It has only been open a year and everything is new and state of the art. It is built on top of a geo thermal lake - they say it is the most environmentally friendly resort because they use no energy.
What I like is all the pools are very warm even when we were there in winter we could swim outside in the snow - but admit I stayed mostly in the indoor pool when we weren't skiing.
They have 9 or 10 types of saunas and a room with a plunge pool and that snows all year around.
It was very affordable £36 per night www.aquacity.sk

i also stayed at Aqua City this year 2008. Great facilites surrounded by the High Tatras.....its a little pocket of heaven. We booked through www.vamostravel.com the UK sales arm of Aqua City :) would highly recommend going to Poprad!!
