Unobtrusive (unlike Norton), it works (unlike Norton), it's free (unlike Norton).
After 5 years of use ... can't find any!
It has to be said - Grisoft AVG version 6 is best! You can't download this version from the website now, unfortunately, but up-dates are regular and often - I pity those who have to use version 7 - it's OK but not as good.
I fix/repair computers for people who have problems, and I despair at the amount of problems caused by viruses/worms that Norton simply does not detect however strict the up-dating may be!
Let's face it - Norton hogs your machine, slows it down, and does not do the job it is supposed to - AVG does !
I have personally used AVG for over 5 years and no viruses - I install it on all my customers PC's with no comeback.
It's free, does not reduce your system to a crawl, and provides constant up-dates - install it now (but ensure you un-install any other anti-virus software first as they will conflict and you will get infected as a result).
