Reliable so far. Smart interior (light grey cloth). Air conditioning standard. Nice paint job (pepper red lacqured metallic). Good stereo. Fuel consumption good - on long journeys, 34-36 mpg. Compared to my old Cavalier, it goes around corners as though it's on rails (wide tyres).
Heavy fuel consumption around town (19.7 mpg!) Firm suspension takes some getting used to. Seats look nice, and give good support, but there's a cushion moulding at shoulder level that tends to make you lean forwards (maybe it's me - I'm 6 feet tall?) Notchy gearchange, but this could be a worn clutch or the gearbox cables (which are adjustable).
Bought this 'Y' reg Ford Mondeo 2.0 Ghia with a relatively high mileage (45,000). Group 11 insurance. Cruises effortlessly. Automatic aircon/heating. Auto-dimming rear mirror!
