Good Points

Small, Lightweight, Convenient
Fair compromise for ~$150
2.5" TFT
Good amount of features for the price
Flash, SD Card & Rechargeable Li-ion Included


Bad Points

Directional Menu Control Button is touchy
Tripod included is 1/100 actual tripod size needed
Included Bud Ear-Phones are very poor quality
Needed some optical zoom (10x or more)
Poor control button layout on shutter button side


General Comments

If you plan on making some home videos on the go, or taking Above average digital video cam pictures while on a trip, and don't have a lot of money to throw around the Mustek DV5500 is the camera for you. Don't expect Minolta, Cannon, or Sony type 8+ Megapixel pictures from this camera. And don't try to film your next post-draft movie project on this either.
