Fuel Economy - 30,000 mile service interval - Good value for money
Tyre Wear
Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 SRI CDTI City Car Review
I previously owned a Vectra 1.8 SRI, but with the 30,00 miles a year I do, it was becoming a bit too costly. I figured a smaller car would do the job I wanted & looked for something sporty yet economical. The Corsa SRI Diesel filled the role. I got it at 6 months old with 14000 on for £9K through Network Q - Very good value. It only needs servicing annually or every 30000 miles & I reguarly get 50mpg at motorway speeds. It accellarates brilliantly with loads of torque giving drive throughout the rev range when the turbo's singing! Easily as quick as the Vectra I previously had & with much better road holding, it sticks to the road really well - The only downside as a result of this is tyre use - I've managed to get 15000 out of the front pair, replacements were £80 each & the tyre sales place reckoned that they normally only see just over 10000 on the size of tyre this takes. The Vectra I had did 20,000 on a pair of fronts. Still overall this car represents great value for money & plenty of fun to drive.
