I flew with Cathay Pacific, the flight from Ho Chi Minh to Hong Kong was delayed due to technical problems. We arrived 15 minutes before scheduled ongoing flight was planned for take off. Instead of waiting for the delayed pax we were booked to a Korean Air flight 8 hours 20 minutes later (at 40 minutes after midnight).
When I asked for a complementary upgrade into business class as would have to work early morning and so to have a bit more rest during the flight, ground staff refused. After repeated complaining an invitation into the business lounge was finally offered. It's a shame that this was not handed out automatically.
