Carcraft make it easy to buy a car.
High pressure sales. (from the very the second you walk in). Dishonest sales pitch. Over priced. Car sub standard. Very high interest. Guarantee cost £5000 for 5yrs, but may well not pay out. Loan insurance another £5000! Two major problems with the car in one year.
All the above reviews are very similar to my own experience. I was hustled into paying more than twice what the car was worth, and spending thoudands on a guarantee and insurance for the loan. The interest rates are also MASSIVE. Having been stupid enough to sign on the dotted line, I was then told that I would have to wait to collect the car until it had been MOT'd. I asked them to deliver and found that on delivery there was a problem with the Turbo! Luckily, they did agree to foot the bill, and the car had over £1000 worth of work done on it by a VW garage. Unfortunately there was STILL a lack of power and it was only months later that a VW enthusiast garage pointed out that it was the air mass meter (a £90 repair!). After a year now, the heater matrix has developed a leak and I am hoping that the NAC guarantee that I have paid a ridiculous amount for will pay out. Watch this space.... In summary, I would never buy a car from this company again. I was conned about the terms of the loan and the interest rates, pressurised into buying the car and signing up for insurance and guarantees that may well not be worth the paper that they are written on and have ended up with a sub standard vehicle. I would advise anyone against buying from this company. It's simply not worth it. The forecourt price in the Showroom was around £8000. By the end of the 5 year loan, I will have paid over £20000 for this car!
