Smooth, Rich, Pure, No sweet aftertaste.
Can be hard to locate. Only comes in 750ml.
I have never really liked rum until I tried Mount Gay Eclipse Barbados Rum. Always found other rums too sweet. Mount Gay Eclipse has more of a light fruity finish than sweet. Has complexity of fine wine. Tasting berrys, and maybe a light pineapple finish. Very pure as well. Last week my market had sold out, so I tried a big name rum. Big mistake. Too sweet, and the next morning, headache. Never with Mount Gay have I had a headache. The recipe for this rum is dated 1703. Good stuff. Cheers.
