Good Points

Cheap.


Bad Points

Too numerous to list, but I'll try with just the main one's:

Poor customer services.
No onsite visits (no matter how much you try & get them to come over).
Poor unhelpful staff.
Cheap/tacky looking system (poor quality).
Lack of speed (even when you beef up the cpu etc...).
No expandibility - dead end tower unit.


General Comments

My boss buys from Dell regularly as they are SO cheap! Doesn't listen to my recommendations to avoid them like the plague.

At the first sign of problems I am supposed to sort it out, contacting Dell to ask for help - forget it (they don't care!). So I have to spend my time sorting out the mess.

Out of twenty PC's in our office. Six have major problems that Dell don't want to send an engineer round for as they claim it's software - when we have done a workaround & know it's hardware. Seven are also showing signs of wear and we know they won't last for much longer. What is the point?

My bosses attitude is who cares they were cheap! :-(

    cannot go without commenting. i have owned a dimension 2200 for year and half. absolutely fantastic value for money, flat monitor and printer all in. when i downloaded my security pack 2 when offered it went haywire, microsoft security pack WAS definitely the problem at the time. Dell online help were marvellous, phoned me promptly and then phoned son at uni on his mobile,, who had borrowed from me, to talk him through sorting it out. phoned back both of us to check all okay. Dell are fantastic value for money - and the rest of my family who have bought them agree.
