Good Points

Cheap, excellent image quality.

Bad Points

Serial transfer (didn't really worry me, but might stretch some peoples' patience), large and bulky, dubious flash.

General Comments

When I saw it in the shops, the DC3200 didn't appeal to me because it looks quite large and ugly. Appearance aside, it is a great camera for a great price. It feels solid and outdoor photos always come out crisp and clean, except in extreme lighting conditions. Unfortunately, the flash only works in a range of about 1.5 - 3.5 metres from the subject. Any less and it's ineffective; any more and the washout destroys your photo. Fortunately, the flash is usually unnecessary anyway because the DC3200 is more than capable of taking a good photo under weak artificial lighting and the white balance feature offsets any yellowish mask.
