Good Points

Good fuel economy, great handling, good interior, great paint work and timeless styling.


Bad Points

Weight, headlights, service and repair costs.


General Comments

I have a Peugeot 306 2.0 S16 which is the same as the XSi in europe. I am in Perth WA. Made 94. having read a number of the other reviews it seems that there must be some very poor examples of the S16 [XSi] in UK. Without modification 0 to 100 km in 9.2 secs.
I have lights or warnings that dont work when they should or for that matter when they shouldn't. Brakes are outstanding albeit that I have fitted Slotted to help cooling. [temps in Perth at 33c very often]. Other than expected replacements for a 10 year old car I could not fault it. Great fun to drive but does take practice as clutch is heavy duty and snappy but has great feel to it. Anywhere over 3600rpm the engine works very well and pulls through entire torque range, which many modern engines don't.
We must just be fortunate in Oz but my S16 is great.
