I have been using MD for the last 10 years, but Hi-MD takes this amazing piece of technology a step further. Very good sound quality, comparable to CD very flexable move, delete, split and combine tracks, add titles on the unit or from your PC. Hi-MD is backward compatible so all your existing MDs can be used with it. You can also re-format standard MDs to the Hi-MD format and store up to almost 14 hours of music on 1 MD. I recommend the MZ-NH600 to anyone who enjoys music on the move, and needs the flexability CD and iPod do not provide. There is also a power jack provided to save your batteries when listening at home (EU and UK).
3 line display is quite small and is not backlit.
The unit does not come with a remote, though it does have a socket for one,(EU and UK Model), no power adapter provided.
The Sony MZ-NH600 has very high sound quality.
Backwards compatable with previous MD media.
Transfer music from PC at up to 100x speed.
Double the capacity of standard MDs in Hi-MD mode.
Has the ability to be used as an USB removable storage device using both Hi-MD (1Gb or Standard MD 80min = 300Mb) storage capacities.
