General Comments

I bought this Suzuki Volusia VL800K3 bike in 2003. I have owned many other motorcycles both smaller and larger in displacement. This bike is an outstanding value and an outstanding motorcycle. It may not have the power to rip the handlebars out of your grip if you crank too much throttle but it will run with the big boys all day long and easily out corner them. This bike inspires confidence and I have laid this bike over so far the pegs were grinding and the bike never lost its cool.

It is extremely comfortable to ride all day long with the stock seat. The engine is butter smooth and does not cause vibration numbness in the hands.

The little features of the bike are a nice extra, like the 2nd trip meter for keeping track of both the trip milage and miles between fill ups. Although this is not so much a worry as with other bikes as the digital tank gage is very good even letting you know when you are down to your last 1/2 gallon. Suzuki really dialed this one in and with the new Marauder, now called the M50 you can have a more street-racer cruiser look.

I don't own this bike any more as I thought I needed more power but every time my hands start to go numb or I drag a floor board while going through a corner I REALLY miss my Volusia!
