Pleasing asthetics, Good sharp images and sound reproduction. Oh' did I forget good value for money, at the time of purchase as opposed to other brands just offering Nicam receive only.
Slight picture tilt, no way of adjusting this through menu settings. Rear speakers supplied with tv are quite small, and sound slightly thin and tinny, even when mounted on speaker stands.
Automatic screen aspect ratio's facilities not perfect, and sometimes have a mind of their own, i.e. switching from full screen to letterbox. You then have to re-adjust aspect ratio's back by pressing appropriate buttons on remote handset, this can become quite annoying at times.
Well My JVC AV28R25EK replaced my ageing Toshiba 2539DB 4.3 "Dolby Pro Logic Tv just over eighteen months ago.
I can honestly say that I was pleased with the pictures produced by this set, once I had adjusted the menu settings.
There is a slight picture tilt along the bottom right of the screen, but not too discerning as to spoil my viewing pleasure.
As for audio reproduction, very good, apart from the tiny rear speakers supplied.
The rear mounted sub-woofer unit tends to vibrate quite a bit, depending on bass levels used in programme content being broadcast, even at low volume levels.
I have read all the previous reviews regarding the JVC AV28R25EKS, and agree with other's that yes there are varying degrees of picture tilt.
However I must stress that if you closely examine other widescreen Tv's from leading manufacturer's on display in electric retailers, there are a varying level of tilt evident on these sets also.
Finally you can't have everything in life, but for the money I personally think the JVC is great value, especially as it has "Dolby Pro-Logic" thrown in for just over £400.00
