388 pages is a bit much for a one week read. In three weeks, it's perfect.

L. Adams The Language Heretic's Super Crash Course in Spanish: As a busy person who needed to learn quickly, this book was a dream come true. I've tried other courses in the past three years, since moving to Spain, but I never got anywhere.

This book changed my life and was a perfect solution to my struggles with Spanish, because the author has tricks for remembering the essentials and revelations for learning ONLY what you NEED to know what is practical. There's none of the typical language book stuff, like "the pencil is yellow."

This book well and truly cuts through all of the normal difficulties of learning Spanish. It is the most logical presentation of verb use I've ever seen, and it makes using the Spanish verbs simple and logical. Because of its focus on cognates, it makes building a substantial vocabulary in a hurry an enjoyable and easy task. The pronunciation guides actually work and make learning to pronounce the words properly easy as pie.

If you want to speak Spanish, don't pick up any other book but this one.
