Good Points

Have use Kwik-fit for a number of years with no real problems.


Bad Points

They seem unable to deal with any modifications, ie


General Comments

We have just bought a Rover 75 CDT (116 bhp) and had the Rover dealer up-rate it to 131bhp which is the same as the 75 CDTi the difference for the quote for the 2 cars £3.72 more for the CDTi, but as an upgrade to the car company refused to quote and cheapest Kwik Fit quote £640!!! Some £300 higher .. given we had asked them about it the week before and nothing was said about it being a potential problem I was more than a bit miffed!!! Ended up using the company that insures my very heavily modified Caterham 7 for less than the original Kwik Fit quote, mind you the lass at the call centre was trying to be helpful, but ended up losing two lots of car insurance not one.

    Kwik fit is a good insurance company which I was currently with but I can no longer have as my insurance company due to the fact that they do not insure more than 4 modifications which is a shame because I wanted to modify my car with 6 modifications which was only 2 more than the normal requirement. I have been with them for a year and I think after being a customer for a year without making a claim they should at least allow 2 more modifications by giving me the benefit of the doubt. I would appreciate it if they could do that for me so that I can be insured with them again. If not could u pls find me a decent quote that would insure a car with 6 modifications thank you.
