Bad Points

Trigger Safety less that ergonomic, oddity of using a round tank as a cheek rest.

General Comments

My big interest in this Air Force Condor was for hunting. Having read many reviews, I had no doubt that this would make it a top notch choice for hunting due to it's power and light weight. Something about the militaristic look also appealed to me. When I first opened the box, I found I was very happy with the fit and finish of the gun. Came with a great video from the manufacturer that covers eveything you would need to know and great tips to get the most out of the gun. Could not help but dial up the power for the first session of shooting. Very loud to say the least. Accuracy was very good. I am no marksman but I have no problem with 1" groups at 50 yards and hear many have groups of half that size. Since hunting was my main use for the gun, I wanted to be able to shoot at it's higher power settings, but have the ability to shoot quietly. Contacted AirHog who set me up with an accessory that looks like it is how the gun should have came out of the box, and works VERY well. By comparison, I have the AirArms 410E with the built in shrouded barrel. On a scale with 0 being the most quiet and 10 very loud, I would say the 410E is a 4 where the Condor now is a 2 with this moderation "10 without". Considering the Condor is kicking out 20 ft. lbs more than the 410E, this says a lot. Only negatives I can think of is the safety is difficult to disengage with just your trigger finger. Also, I have let several people whom are avid airgunners shoot it, and almost all comment on how odd if feels to rest their cheek against a round tank vs. the cheek rest on conventional stocks. I would like to see a slip over the tank accessory such as the Logun Domin8or has for their tanks. One thing to note. The Condor is availible in .177 but best in the .22 version. Many of the top airsmiths have mentioned that with the hyper velocity that the Condor can spit out the light .177 pellets, the barrel will quickly get fouled and need frequent cleaning.

Please let me know the item number for the “accessory that looks like it is how the gun should have came out of the box” you got from Airhog

I don't think it has a part or item number. Another owner of a Condor suggested it and sent a photo of his. Does not look like an added on accessory, but part of the gun and takes all of a minute to install. Just contact www.Airhog.com and tell them what you want. A bit spendy though at $150 but worth it for me. Opens up a whole new world as to where and when you can shoot.
