We were in basic accomodation and it was clean, we were able to book in two hours early, entertainment was excellent - kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. After reading reviews before we went, our plan was to take some anti-bac wipes and only use the place to sleep. In fact we never left the site. Even though the weather was bad on one of the days, there was stil plenty to do. Don't be put off by other reviews. Swimming pool was excellent - each time we went there were 4 life guards - we went in our costumes and my husband (who is not a swimmer) sat at the poolside with our belongings and watched in his outdoor clothes(minus shoes)
Not really anything bad to say - we had a great time - maybe we are easily pleased however I am not one to look for bad points just to make the review more controversial!!
I think the past reviews of Pontins Camber were very unfair as we had a great time. No doors on wardrobes - they are designed that way not missing - there were three wardrobes - all with drawers to conceal belongings. The accommodation cost less for five of us for the weekend than it did to put the dog in kennels!! We set a budget per day and actually came home with money so I disagree prices are high. The kids had a great time which is the most important thing for us. I was prepared for basic accommodation and was very pleasantly surprised. We had a great time and will be going again!! The staff were excellent and my youngest children (3 and 4) danced all evening - even my 15 year old son who can never say a good thing about anything asked when we could go again!! We booked in two hours early!!
