Cheap, 39$ at samsclub. The 5 shot indexing clip is a wonderful feature. This alone makes it worth the money.
Diecast reciever, metal barrel shroud, metal muzzel brake. Overall good construction compared to some other low end models.
6lb trigger...not to great and plastic...but you get used to it and it works good for me.
Terrible fiberoptic sights, works good for plinking but if you are using it for serious 10m shooting, then you will want to upgrade it.
Muzzle brake was mounted sideways, but its fixable.
Painted finish is cheap...chips off in places.
550 fps, slow, not good for hunting. Cannot be pumped more then once, unlike what a previous review stated, it does not have a seperate air chamber.
The Daisy PowerLine TargetPro 953 is a relatively new model. Based on the 853, 753 competition models, with a plastic stock, and without the lothar barrel.
It has a 5 shot indexing clip, and it is a single stroke pneumatic. Makes it easy and fun for plinking.
The plastic stock is not as cheap as on some crosman models...very solid.
It loses one point in overall rating because of poor trigger and plastic parts. But its a great value for the money.
The working parts are all metal. Weighs 6.4 lbs Has scope grooves on both muzzle brake and reciever.
Very accurate...perhaps the best accuracy for the money, one hole 5 shot groups at 10 meters. The accuracy must rub off from the 853+753 models despite the generic barrel. Past 20 meters, accuracy suffers. But good enough for plinking cans.
If you see it for under $40..pick one up, they are fun to shoot and round out your collection.
Though if you are looking for a single all around airgun for under $40, the fastdeer is hard to beat.
