Good Points
Beautiful Arlen Ness design (04' Vegas)that hits the ground running. A dream machine
Bad Points
Tank design could have been made better for fueling ease. Cap opens barely far enough to accept pump nozzle. Tack would have been nice. New handle bar design does not accept conventional windshields available. Still (4 months) have not been able to get one from the dealer. The saddle provides a hard ride (even worse for passenger). Chrome.... chrome... but the rear drive belt wheel left painted metal (why?)A chrome wheel can be purchased from your dealer. A costly addition when taking into consideration labor. Standard turn signals that look like they are off of an old Suzuki.
General Comments
I have enjoyed every moment aboard this Victory/Arlen Ness creation that has a lot of riders dreaming. With a little imagination a "very special" ride can be put together. The stock 04' Arlen Ness Vegas takes you about 88.2 percent of the way there. The few drawbacks mentioned (i.e saddle, windshield, signals, tank design)are the last thing you're thinking of when you're cruising on this proud warrior. If it was perfect on the showroom floor, the challenge of final design additions (leather work / seat & saddle bags, signal lights, etc.)would not allow for the personal touches that will make this bike your own. I rated my Vegas a 9, but it will be a 10 when I'm through with it.
