General Comments

Bought my Seat Toledo 1.9 TDi SE 2nd hand in March 2004 with 11,000 on clock. It was registered March 2003 and is still (April 2005) immaculate. I have done 12,000 mainly city miles and the computer tells me that I have averaged 47 miles per gallon and I get 540 miles from one tank (@£40). I have previously owned loads of different Peugot and Citroen diesels, (205, 309, 405, Zsara, Xantia, etc) but the Seat Toledo TDi SE losses all of them in style, specifications, performance and comfort. This is effectively a VW Bora but with much better styling and at a better price. Apparently the Bora is built in Belgium whilst the Toledo is built in Germany!!! It seems that it is made up of the best bits of Audi A4, Audi TT and various VW models. I think it looks far better that the new model of Toledo but have not driven that. It is almost certainly the best car that I have ever owned in 33 years of car ownership. How foolish I was thinking that cruise control, in the UK, and a 6 CD changer were just useless gimmicks and that climate control is the same as air conditioning!!!

The only real down side is the size of the access into the boot. The boot itself is huge, but you realise the limitations as soon as you make your first visit to IKEA! Buy a roof rack and your problems are solved.
