General Comments
We have just returned from an all inclusive stay at the Oriental Resort. Not only did our transfer take nearly 2 and half hours, nothing went right after that awful transfer which was supposed to take 20 mins max...The food in this hotel is totally appalling. We were both ill with D&V. No selection, rice and pasta everyday and yes, we were lucky enough to also have their Italian night where we were offered a piece of Pizza on the way into the restaurant, but needless to say the selection was still the same....after that we couldn't eat in the hotel again due to being ill. The drink selection was appalling also. One evening the vodka had run out at 10pm-not very happy considering everything else you had to pay extra. The bar staff were also extremely unhelpful and rude. There was only 1 bar staff per bar or snack bar. The pool bar was also lacking in the food dept. Although there was an extensive menu, most things were on a chargeable extra...and the things you were allowed to have were the re-used sausages from breakfast stuck into a half frozen roll. The hotel and the surrounding gardens were sprayed with raw sewage. As you can imagine the smell and the flies were atrocious. The beach (man-made) was also appalling. There was no way of snorkelling as the current was extremely strong and you would have walk out at least half an hour before getting anywhere....The location, well lets just say you are in the middle of nowhere. The hotel offers 1 free shuttle bus per day for a hotel with 1000+ guests there is no way you can ever get in the bus, which holds 16 people! Taxis were costing us £12...not exactly cheap for a foreign country. In comparison to taxi's in Mexico which were costing no more than 90p.....The hotel was also only half completed. The workmen were spray painting all day; the fumes were enough to keep you high all week.

We have already written to the agents we booked this through to seek compensation as we have never experienced a worse holiday....we are both we travelled people (Mexico, Bali, Singapore, Australia, NZ)This hotel is not even worthy of 2*...5* is a complete joke....DO NOT GO HERE!
