Lightweight. Accurate. Carbine format. Not pellet fussy.
Stock not great.
Butt comb too low.
I have been shooting with a borrowed Webley Tracker cal.22 for five months and have found it to be a fantastic little rifle. It is very light and small and the side-lever is quick and easy to get to grips with. I recommend the rifle for hunting as the whole package comes together well in the field. It is very shootable and is capable of very good grouping. It also packs a punch, I have taken many rabbits at ranges out to thirty yards. My Tracker has been gasrammed which improves performance even more and is well worth it.
In addition the Tracker is not pellet fussy, I shoot mainly with Accupells and Lazadomes and the rifle spits out both with aplomb. I guess the silencer isn't the greatest out there but as the gun is a springer you can only expect so much.
Probably the only let down on the Tracker is the stock. On my rifle at least it is a pretty bland affair and the butt could do with being an inch or two higher. I am 6' 1" and have to tilt my head a bit to get a good picture through the telescopic sight which I find pretty annoying and disappointing. This isn't a kids rifle so why the small stock.
I guess if I am being really picky I could slag of the trigger as well. This is just a single stage unit which feels a bit cheap compared to some of the two stagers I have used in the past. Still, it does have a predictable let-off so its not all bad. Also, there is a plastic lever which is flipped up to reveal the loading port. This lever is mounted high up on the body of the rifle and if you ever drop the rifle you just know the lever is going to snap. It looks a bit of out place and whacked on there as an afterthought.
All in all this is a good rifle which performs well at hunting. The small size and weight are a boon in the field when you are laden with rabbits. I am upgrading to an Air Arms TX200HC in the near future and I am in for a shock with the weight increase.
This rifle is a good bet with a decent bit of glass and gasrammed innards. You could do a lot worse.
